As the New Year's Reception at the Yotsuba family residence approaches, Miyuki Shiba and other candidates gather to determine who will succeed as leader of their powerful magical clan, one of the Ten Master Clans that dominate magical politics. Being chosen as successor would mean her brother Tatsuya, long treated as an outcast within the family, would finally be freed from that status, but the position would also almost certainly require a political marriage, plunging Miyuki into deep personal turmoil. When the current head of the family makes a shocking statement that sows further doubt, the siblings' relationship faces a turning point that may change everything between them. A satisfying continuation for devoted fans of the franchise, delivering the series' familiar blend of magical politics and sibling drama with polished animation.
