Synopsis:
In 1949 Japan, former kamikaze pilot Kōichi, his makeshift wife Noriko and adoptive daughter Akiko attempt to rebuild their fragile postwar life in the aftermath of Godzilla's devastating recent attacks. Just as a measure of stability finally seems within reach, a new and even greater danger begins stirring at the bottom of the sea, threatening to plunge the still-recovering nation back into chaos. The first Japanese film ever shot for IMAX, this sequel to Takashi Yamazaki's acclaimed 2023 original combines high-octane spectacle with genuine emotional heart.
Review:
A true cinematic spectacle that combines high-octane monster thrills with more heart than the genre typically allows, gripping longtime fans and newcomers alike in equal measure.
