Barry "The Arrow" Barnes has long been a local darts hero, a gifted player whose oversized ego is matched only by his drinking. A drunken accident that costs him his arm sends Barry into a downward spiral, until his loyal friend and manager brings him unexpected news: darts has become a Paralympic sport. Reluctantly, Barry sees a shot at redemption, but qualifying means confronting the prejudices and personal demons that have shaped his life so far, alongside a formidable new rival waiting for him on the oche, nicknamed "Darts Vader." Along the way, Barry must decide not just whether he can find his way back to glory, but whether he actually deserves to.
Review:
A warm-hearted British comedy that finds real charm in its unlikely underdog premise, mining genuine laughs and heart from Barry's prickly journey toward redemption without losing sight of the seriousness beneath the comedy.
