Doing what he does best, the Cat spreads joy to children in his hilariously irreverent, singularly chaotic way, transporting audiences on a fantastical journey through a world they have never seen before. Assigned his toughest mission yet by a mysterious institute for imagination and inspiration, the Cat sets out to cheer up siblings Gabby and Sebastian, who are struggling to adjust to their family's move to a new town. Known for taking things much too far, this could prove to be this agent of chaos's last chance to prove himself, or risk losing his magical hat forever, in this animated feature-length debut for one of Dr. Seuss's most beloved characters. A boisterously energetic animated debut for its titular character that leans fully into irreverent chaos, its starry voice cast clearly relishing the mayhem even where the anarchic tone risks overwhelming younger viewers.
