Synopsis:
England, the 13th century. In a remote rural community, a mysterious creature stalks the fog-bound countryside, and the villagers' folklore of men who become wolves begins to seem terrifyingly real. A farmer, his wife and their daughter find themselves at the centre of the horror, while a hunter is drawn in to track down the beast. Robert Eggers's film is performed largely in Middle English.
Review:
The fifth feature from Robert Eggers, following The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman and Nosferatu, reunites him with his co-writer Sjón and actors Willem Dafoe, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp and Ralph Ineson.

The film was shot on location in England, including Dartmoor and the Forest of Dean, and uses dialogue in Middle English.
