Synopsis:
The film follows Borja as he trains at the bullfighting school, balancing the demands of the tradition with his responsibilities at home. Through his story, the documentary explores the political, financial and social issues surrounding bullfighting in modern Spain, a tradition that is both cherished and increasingly controversial, and the pressures placed on a child whose family sees it as a route to a better life. It is the first feature by Inma de Reyes, a Spanish-born film-maker based in Scotland.
